Abstract

The abandonment, rape, and second abandonment of ten women in the household of David is told in three verses spread across 2 Sam. 15-20.[1] The sequence concludes with what I have called the “second abandonment” when the women are confined into a closed space under guard (2 Sam. 20:3).
