Abstract

leadership inclusive leadership New Zealand
The practice of inclusive leaders might include advocacy, addressing social and systemic inequity, cultural responsiveness, challenging deficit discourses, collective practice, and meeting the needs of diverse students. These practices involve interpersonal skills such as communication and collaboration, and intrapersonal skills such as reflection, persistence, and intentionality. Such leadership is highly relational as evident in the cases explored here where there is an emphasis on relationships, communication, trust, collaboration, and purpose.
