Abstract

Bedwetting Enuresis Paediatric Urinary incontinence Urinary tract infection
Children experience the same types of lower urinary tract dysfunction as adults, and presentation and treatments frequently overlap. There are also some specific entities which predominantly affect children. This chapter considers giggle incontinence, which shares its aetiology with overactive bladder rather than stress incontinence, as well as bedwetting, constipation with faecal soiling and recurrent urinary tract infections. In children, a step-wise approach is preferred, and for each entity, this is presented in a practical manner.
