Abstract
This chapter summarises some of the research into injuries, and highlights some of the more important implications for prevention programmes. The chapter describes the incidence, severity, use of services, type of injuries, place of occurrence, circumstances of specific injuries, injuries involving sports, motor vehicle crashes and work-related activities.
