Abstract
This chapter introduces the aims and objectives underpinning this edited Research Handbook that explores the concept of family property from a variety of different legal and socio-legal perspectives. It introduces the topics covered in each of the substantive parts of the Research Handbook and how the chapters have been selected to tease out key themes and commonalities that cut across the contributions. The chapter concludes with providing more detailed overviews of each substantive contribution.
