Abstract
In Chapter 7, Bohn uses an ethic of care approach to explore the human-to-nature relationships engendered by tourism and how various tourism industry actors conceive of environmental and social justice. Bohn examines the issues of destination governance of Milford Sound/Piopiotahi in New Zealand. The analysis of the Milford Opportunities Project reveals that even though Indigenous values are reflected in some aspects of the project, the current human/nature duality in the treatment of the site as a visitor attraction prevails, and Piopiotahi continues to instrumentalise nature to serve human needs.
