This chapter explores wellbeing and socio-emotional learning (SEL) within the educational context. We discuss current notions of wellbeing and focus on wellbeing and SEL frameworks. We introduce a series of Case studies and Teacher and Student voices to discuss how SEL practices can be responsive to culture, language and identity. The chapter draws from our practical experiences within varied educational contexts and our research experiences.
