Abstract
This chapter reflects on the costs of the Dunedin Study, some benefits related to some of the major research areas and concludes with a discussion of the future of the study. It concludes by stating that the Dunedin Study sample and the Study data set are an important national and international resource for studying health and development issues in the future. It is hoped that the groundwork done in the past 20 years will be "a foundation for further research in the future".
