Abstract
Although corporate strategy helps in differentiation, positioning, and aligning the organisation to align itself internaly to be competitive, it is not enough. A separate enterprise information system (EIS) strategy must be put in place do deal with external realities. This is particularly crucial to a software start-up in its prototype development stage. Development time must be as short as possible. Two-way communications is possible through EIS.
