Abstract

This abstract reported a study of associations between experience of caries, self reported anxiety levels and strength of belief in the importance of seven oral health behaviours. The findings questioned the effectiveness of present health education programmes in New Zealand and have relevance for the retention of high-risk adolescents within the dental care system.
