Abstract

angiotensin angiotensin II [5 valine] chloralose blood pressure genetics heart rate hypertension rat statistics theoretical study
Blood pressure responses to stimulation of the spinal sympathetic outflow are significantly higher in pithed genetically hypertensive (GH) rats than in normotensive (N) controls. Heart rate responses, however, are similar in GH and N rats. In the present study, the effects of angiotensin on blood pressure and heart rate in pithed GH and N rats were compared.
