Abstract

glucagon glucagon release pancreas transplantation sheep theoretical study
The preliminary findings show that pancreatic α cells, like β cells, retain secretory activity after transplantation with its concomitant removal of neural and pancreatic exocrine influences, and suggest that the transplant might prove to be a useful preparation for the study of biochemical factors affecting glucagon secretion.
