Abstract

4 amino 2 [4 (1 azacyclooctylcarbonyl) 1 piperidyl] 6,7 dimethoxyquinazoline 4' hydroxyfenoprofen glucuronide DNA ligase II unclassified drug cattle intoxication intravenous drug administration kidney mortierella wolfii mouse pharmacology spontaneous abortion
From 1968 to 1970 the most common cause of mycotic abortion and pneumonia in cattle on the North Island of New Zealand was M. wolfii. A toxin isolated fron the mycelium of the fungus caused death in mice 18-24 hours after intravenous injection. Intravenous injection of 125I labeled toxin into mice was used to investigate what might be the target organ for the toxin. The kidney appears to be the site of action.
