Abstract

hand grip strength human cell joint major clinical study methodology rheumatoid arthritis short survey temperature
Weakness of hand grip is recognised of rheumatoid arthritis. Measurement of grip strength is particularly useful in drug trials. In this paper we describe a method for using recordings of grip strength against time to determine work and power output and maximum grip strength in the hand. We also report the effect of temperature changes on work and power output in patients and normal volunteers.
