We present a new algorithm for three-dimensional (3D) reconstruction of dried vertebrae from two radiographs. It works by fitting an active shape model to the images. The method has been validated using five metal markers attached to dried vertebrae. Additionally the active shape model has been validated using models constructed using an arm scanner.
