Abstract
“The object of the following thesis is to deal with various clinical cardio-vascular phenomena. In the investigation there has been little opportunity for using instruments or mechanical devices, the facts
having been observed strictly by bedside examination in the course of general practice. The cases have not been under continuous observation but visited from time to time, and the examinations have been at irregular intervals. No entirely new facts have been brought forward, but several clinical signs have been met with in an exaggerated form, and other little recognised findings have been emphasised.” [Extract from thesis]
