Abstract

Law New Zealand economic models circular economic model
This dissertation will focus on New Zealand's current economic systems, with an analysis of specific commercial, climate and resource regulations. Through an analysis of the country's current economic systems, we can uncover the systemic and complex barriers to a functional circular economy, such as market failures and an uneven playing field. Ultimately, the guiding analytical question will be whether the current regulatory frameworks can tilt the playing field towards circularity, and if not, what more can be done.
