Abstract
57 species of Rotatoria are recorded, of which at least 3 are new species, and 11 others have not previously been recorded in New Zealand. 43 species are figured, and all are listed, with ecological notes, in the manner of Russell’s Reference List. Various types of rotifer associations are outlined and the results of a more detailed study of the flourishing rotifer community in the Eastern arm of Tomahawk lagoon are presented. Variations in form are discussed.
