Abstract
Among cirripedes generally, the genus Pollicipes has frequently been regarded as lying closest, of modern forms, to the original stock. In connection with such views, attention has been concentrated on the arrangement of the valves of the mantle rather than on the animal itself, - its biology and anatomy. Hence it is primarily from this latter view-point that the N.Z. section of the genus Pollicipes is here examined.
