Abstract

Law New Zealand homicide offenses serious youth offending children right to fair trial mandatory protections for children
This dissertation explores the question "are children charged with homicide in the High Court getting a fair trial?". In doing so, it pulls together all publicly available information about children charged with homicide offences in the last 80 years and identifies patterns of disadvantage common to these children.
