Abstract
From 2010 to 2020, 1295 patients presented with confirmed acute thoracic aortic dissection in Aotearoa New Zealand. The overall in-hospital incidence was 2.53 (95 per cent c.i. 2.39 to 2.67) per 100 000 person-years, with an increasing incidence over the past decade. Persistent ethnic disparities and high mortality rates emphasize the need for primary health prevention strategies.
