Abstract
This paper proposes a comprehensive framework for integrating digital technologies into dental education, aiming to enhance personalised learning and interprofessional collaboration. Key advancements such as web-based tools, digital radiography, virtual simulations, and 3D printing are discussed, alongside emerging technologies like generative AI. The framework emphasises a blended learning approach, combining traditional teaching methods with innovative digital learning tools to create engaging and effective learning experiences. It advocates for personalised learning pathways, interactive simulations, real-world case studies, continuous assessment, and faculty development. By fostering meaningful interactions and adapting to diverse educational standards, a framework for digital learning in dentistry is proposed to better prepare students for the complexities of modern dental practice, addressing current challenges and laying the groundwork for future research in digital education. Ultimately, discussions highlight the importance of strategic management in implementing digital learning, reaching beyond dentistry to optimise educational outcomes in similar educational institutions and diverse healthcare settings.
