Abstract

Diabetes Heart Failure Microvessels Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension Rho-kinase
We investigated whether Liraglutide can prevent pulmonary microvessel dysfunction in pulmonary hypertensive rats. We showed that insulin resistance drives endothelial cell-smooth muscle dysfunction during through remodeling and diminished nitric oxide-mediated dilation and increased rho-kinase mediated constriction, and that Liraglutide largely prevents these changes with early intervention.
