Abstract

Why is critical literacy important? Every day we are bombarded with texts. Texts that seek to persuade, scam, phish, and misrepresent, as well as texts that aim to uplift, sustain and inspire. We can take a critical stance towards all texts to consider their effects. How do we support akonga to develop this critical stance?
