Abstract

Chemistry Chemistry, Physical Physical Sciences Science & Technology
In this issue of Chem Catalysis, Huang and co-workers demonstrate the synthetic utility of an enantioselective palladium-catalyzed cascade reaction that is underpinned by a s- bond C-N metathesis/ isomerization/Csp3-Pd migratory insertion sequence. The capacity of thismethodology to reliably and stereoselectively construct saturated 5-membered to macrocyclic N-heterocycles underscores the broad scope and impressive flexibility of this approach.
