Abstract
Evaluation of patient satisfaction are periodically conducted in many healthcare institutions with the aim to provide safe and patient-centred health care services. Assessing factors influencing patient satisfaction towards radiological service is a key element in improvement patient radiology service.
Aim of the study - to assess factors influencing patient satisfaction during radiology services at university hospital.
The study was conducted in university hospital of Lithuania for 1 month period. Was used authors designed questionnaire. The study involved in all 107 respondents who agreed to participate in the study after outpatient radiology procedure.
Most of the participants who took part in the study were females. For more than a third the radiological examination was performed 4-6 times in the last 2 years, almost half were performed X-ray. All respondents describe that very important or important for them clearly and comprehensibly presented information about the procedure process, risks and duration. Ensuring patient privacy, carrying out the examinations at the appointed time, the politeness of the staff mentioned as important factors for patient satisfaction. For more than half of the respondents, the cleanliness and convenience of environment, the time of submitting the report, clear and pleasant answers to the questions of concern are very important.
The mostly patients' satisfaction is positively influenced by clear and comprehensive presented information about procedure, communication, ensuring privacy, fast collection of their radiological reports and a well-equipped environment.
