Abstract

behaviour delinquency Diagnostic Interview Schedule for Children (DISC) DISC (Diagnostic Interview Schedule for Children) menarche puberty
This study was designed to test several hypotheses related to the effects of different timings of puberty in girls related to behavioural problems. The results showed that behaviour problems were associated with puberty only when this occurred at a very young age. The results clearly supported the hypothesis that stressful transitions tended to accentuate behavioural problems among girls who were predisposed to behaviour problems earlier in childhood.
