Abstract
Breast cancer is the most common cancer affecting women worldwide, with incidence rates expected to increase significantly in the next decades. Despite the dramatic advances in diagnosis and treatment, the treatment-related adverse effects remain a major health problem and represent currently a research priority. This article presents several integrative therapies for breast cancer supportive care, including low ow level laser therapy and tai chi, which have been recently investigated in New Zealand clinical settings. Preliminary findings support the use of these integrative therapies for breast cancer rehabilitation, and may shed some light on further rehabilitation research.
