Abstract

Coronary circulation Myocardium Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension Right Ventricle
This study determined the extent that right coronary endothelial dysfunction develops in early pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) rats and if dysfunction is accelerated by insulin resistance. Exacerbated coronary endothelial dysfunction developed in diabetic rats during the transition to PAH and was associated with increased thrombosis and reduced right ventricle contractility.
