Abstract

Infectious Diseases in Special Populations
Outcomes in severe neutropenic sepsis differ depending on the cause of neutropenia. Patients with hematological malignancy have lowest mortality and experience similar outcomes to nonneutropenic sepsis patients. Patients with solid cancers or no cancer diagnosis have highest mortality.
