Abstract
PET imaging targeting somatostatin receptors has become the forefront of imaging evaluation of NET patients, and is preferred over planar or SPECT imaging, when available. It provides accurate staging, treatment response assessment, and restaging with significant impact on patient management. Somatostatin receptor-targeted radionuclide therapy has become an important treatment option for patients with metastatic disease without many treatment options with a significant impact on patient outcome and symptom management.
