Abstract
Drawing on retrospective data from our centre alongside emerging international evidence, we argue that modern techniques for phaeochromocytomas (PCC)/paragangliomas (PGL) resections allow a personalised approach which is safe and avoids surgical delays and cancellations. In keeping with this, we discuss the use of doxazosin as an effective, safe preoperative alternative to phenoxybenzamine.
