Abstract

Commentary on Hanna et al. Mechanisms underlying dilated cardiomyopathy associated with FKBP12 deficiency, J Gen Physiol (2025) 157 (1): e202413583. https://doi.org/10.1085/jgp.202413583 Hanna et al. reveal that early, but not late, developmental cardiac FKBP12 deficiency leads to dilated cardiomyopathy in the adult heart.
