Abstract

Canada New Zealand primary health care family medicine
The Canadian public health system and the Canadian view of health care have many similarities to New Zealand’s (NZ’s). The ‘CanMeds’ philosophy of medical practice, and the principles of family medicine in Canada have influenced, and are concordant with, professional objectives of the Medical Council of NZ and The Royal New Zealand College of General Practitioners (RNZCGP).
