Abstract
Access to appropriate assessment and treatments for ADHD are currently extremely limited in New Zealand. Long standing shortages of psychologists and psychiatrists, as well as restrictions to publicly-funded assessment and treatments, mean that individuals and families face significant difficulties in accessing evidence-based care. This paper discusses how ADHD NZ and the NZ College of Clinical Psychologists are working together with organisations from around the country to improve access to assessment and treatment, as well as some of the group’s achievements to date.
