Elecsys anti-SARS-CoV-2 nucleocapsid immunoassay

As part of Ka Mātau, Ka Ora, a New Zealand (NZ) study investigating the immunogenicity of the BNT162b2 vaccine in a well characterised, immunocompetent, adult cohort between June 2021 and June 2023, the Elecsys Anti-SARS-CoV-2 nucleocapsid assay (Roche Diagnostics) was performed in our cohort to measure anti-nucleocapsid (anti-N) antibodies. The Elecsys immunoassay was validated by the manufacturer using samples from unvaccinated participants, while our cohort is uniquely characterised with detailed infection and vaccine history.
