Goldmann applanation tonometry (GAT) is an indispensable technique for the assessment of intraocular pressure (IOP). Disinfection of reusable tonometer tips is a routine process between examining patients to prevent nosocomial infections, specifically adenoviral epidemic keratoconjunctivitis (EKC).
