Abstract

commentary opinion
Following our recent Voices across Africa feature by Patten et al. (2026). Trends Biochem. Sci. 51(5):414–417, TiBS continues its global series with a spotlight on Asia and Oceania. In this TrendsTalk, researchers from across the region share the experiences, collaborations, and discoveries that have shaped their scientific journeys. Featuring voices from India, Singapore, China, South Korea, Australia, and New Zealand, these perspectives explore a range of scientific questions across diverse biological systems. Their reflections further reveal how modern biochemistry is built across borders through mentorship, mobility, interdisciplinary exchange, and vibrant regional scientific communities. As TiBS marks its 50th anniversary, these stories highlight both the diversity and interconnectedness of the global biochemistry community.
