Abstract
An opera performance referencing Janet Frame's experiences at Seacliff Mental Hospital. Composer Kenneth Young conducted the Dunedin Symphony Orchestra with Tessa Petersen as concertmaster and first violin. Sopranos Anna Leese and Jane Tankersley performed the roles of Nurse Baillie and Janet Frame respectively. Frame's character is the the vehicle through which Nurse Baillie slowly unravels.
