Abstract
Remembrance: A Concert, with Tessa Petersen (guest concertmaster, violin) and including the European premiere of Anthony Ritchie's composition 'Gallipoli to the Somme' was performed at the Sheldonian Theatre, Oxford, UK. Music's capacity to find connections across cultural and political divides was celebrated with the Parliament Choir, comprising members of both Houses of Parliament and staff of all parties. The Lords, MPs and their staff were joined by guest singers from New Zealand’s City Choir Dunedin, and the acclaimed Southbank Sinfonia which unites outstanding graduate musicians from all over the world.
