Abstract
Tessa Romano (mezzo-soprano, alto) performed as part of Zachary Patten's "Spectral landscape" event. Musical compositions patiently unfolded in the merging of live, improvised, performance and 8-channel surround sound. The music was paired with long, aerial shots of captivating landscapes, creating an experience that was meditative, immersive, new and nostalgic. Held at the Black Box Theater, ATLAS Institute, Boulder, Colorado.
