Patent 553297 Disclosed is a method for detecting bladder cancer in a subject, comprising: detecting the accumulation of a urinary bladder tumor marker (“UBTM”) family member in the urine, said accumulation in said subject greater than about 1.2 times the accumulation of said UBTM in urine from a group of normal subjects not having malignant bladder cancer, charaterised in that the UBTM is cell division cycle 2, G1 to S and G2 to M (CDC2).
