Abstract
Snapshot of the project. Our project continued to build a professional learning community (PLC) with interests in better understanding student motivation to learn. Our focus has been on the development of educational interventions, shared and supported exploration of the impact of these interventions on students, and the growth of a community of university teachers with these interests. Our meetings enabled PLC members to report on their recent experiences, confidential discussions, discussions around international developments in student motivation and attendance research, and presentations on educational research methods, published articles and educational and educational-psychology theories. Our MS Team enabled an online discussion on a broad range of L&T motivation topics and a managed file collection including protocols to research the impact of educational interventions and annotated bibliographies on key research themes. Not all in the PLC engaged with it regularly, but those who did reported appreciation of being part of this community.
