Abstract

Human rights Pacific Islands
This article is the first study paper in a series related to human rights and has been developed in partnership with the Pacific Islands Forum Secretariat. The author discusses practical suggestions for the way forward with human rights mechanisms in the Pacific. The author argues that innovative approaches are needed in the pacific region to address resource concerns, including collaborative approaches to human rights promotion and economies of scope rather than scale.
