This report provides a description of the Victoria (Australia) SCOPE project which collects data on subjects and aspirations of all Year 3, 4 and 5 secondary school students. It recommended that New Zealand should carry out a similar project. This has now been established and is called Project FAST (Future Aspirations, Subjects and Training).
