This paper examined the previous results of four groups of 11 year olds involved in the Dunedin Multidisciplinary Health and Development Study: those assessed at the Research Unit, those seen elsewhere, those who refused to participate and those not seen at 11 for other reasons. With the exception of the number of solo mothers, none of the major variables differentiated between those seen at age 11 and those not seen.
