Abstract:
The primary objective of this thesis focuses on the nature of transmission of oral narratives, based on the relationship formed between the recipient and the source. It will be argued that based on the nature of the relationship between these people knowledge is passed on. It will highlight these relationships within a whānau context, especially the koroua and the mokopuna.
