Abstract:
This article considers the 5th Asian Privacy Scholars Network (APSN) International Conference. The Conference encouraged privacy scholars from the Asia Pacific region to share research, ask difficult questions, push the boundaries of privacy concepts and grapple with the challenges of the new technology. The New Zealand author provides a brief summary of the research presented by privacy experts in Japan, China, Korea, and the USA, and concludes that the APSN International Conference offered plenty to reflect upon as New Zealand prepares for its privacy law reform.
