Statistical code for manuscript: What protects against pre-diabetes progressing to diabetes? observational study of integrated health and social data
This is the statistical code used for the manuscript: What protects against pre-diabetes progressing to diabetes? Observational study of integrated health and social data Progression of prediabetes to diabetes study. The full article is available here; https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S0168822718311756. This code was produced as part of the University of Otago, Healthier Lives: Capitalising on New Zealand's Health Data project, in collaboration with Healthier Lives project He Pikinga Waiora and the National Haouora Coalition. This record includes four SAS programs written by Andrea Teng for used in the Statistics New Zealand Integrated Data Infrastructure. The code was run on an earlier refresh and is not expected to run smoothly unless there is correction for updated changes to the IDI. All records have been checked via output checking process. 1. Prediabetes_checked - data management to create a single dataset for the study analysis 2. NHCdataprep_checked - primary care data preparation 3. PDanalysis_checked - the study analysis 4, DMformats_checked - study variable formats

Any person who has had access to the unit record data has certified that they have been shown, have read, and have understood section 81 of the Tax Administration Act 1994, which relates to secrecy. Any discussion of data limitations or weaknesses is in the context of using the IDI for statistical purposes, and is not related to the data’s ability to support Inland Revenue’s core operational requirements.
