Abstract
Composite resins (CR) are routinely used for direct dental restorations due to its excellent aesthetic and mechanical properties. However, it requires advanced skills and an inventory of different shades to achieve an ideal colour that matches the natural tooth, increasing the treatment time and cost. A new CR is marketed to address the issue, as it can match all teeth colours just with one shade. There is a lack of research regarding how highly staining beverages affect the properties of the new CR compared to the current ones, which our study aimed to investigate.
